The following Poker game boxes are all different variations
for the same Intellivision game.
 |
Original
Box 2611-0910
This is the first box for the Poker game.
It is the book style design which is simple, very sturdy &
will usually outlast later boxes. This style box
features the plastic cart tray with a slit to hold the
instructions & overlays.
Take note of the text at the bottom of all of
these boxes. It is an easy way to tell which version you have
if you are unsure.
This is the box that will hold the Rev. (A)
Instructions, the first generation game cart, & possible
the "error - Missing Card" overlay. |
 |
Poker Box 2611-0910
G1
This was the next version of the box that was produced.
It usually will have the G1 & G2 instructions inside along
with the (Hong Kong) game cart.
This is the box
that most people will have since it was included with the
original 2609 system as a bonus game.
Notice the lack of
text advertisement at the bottom. The inside is still the book
style, with tray. The color of the box may be a lighter shade
than the original. |

Poker Box
2611-0410 (International Box)
This is the box
you will most likely see if you have an International version
of Poker. The box holds 2 sets of instructions. One in english
that is usually inside, & one on the back of the box which
is held in by two diagonal slits. In this way, the
manufacturer could sell to a wide range of nationalities.
There is also a
seperate slit for the overlays! |
 |
French Poker Box 2611- 0510
This is a
very hard box to come by. The text on it is in English,
as well as French.
You will
probably only find this version in France or Canada. In
this version, you would find the French/Canadian Instruction
booklet.
It has the
plastic game tray just like the regular
version. |

Sears Tele-Games Poker 3880-0910
Here we have the
Sears version of the Poker box. It has different production
numbers than the Mattel & INTV models. Aside from
that, the boxes have been designed to set itself apart from
the average looking Poker game, much like the rest of the
SEARS Tele-Games. The game carts inside are the exact same as
the Mattel ones.
Interesting
note: This is the game in which I found the rare "Blue"
label game cart! |
 |
Poker Box (INTV) 2611
This is the INTV
version of Las Vegas Poker & Blackjack. It is a lot darker
in color than the other green boxed games. Also, it comes with
the cheap, flap style box that we all hate so much! It
is nearly impossible not to ruin this box.
In addition,
the box is slightly smaller in size compared to it's previous
Mattel versions. There is no extra I.D. niumber on this
one......Just 2611. |

DIGIPLAY Poker
Box (no I.D. numbers)
This is my cream
of the crop Poker game! It is the rare Brazilian
Digiplay/Digimed version of the game. It is printed in
Portuguese. The instructions are completely different in
design than the other versions.
The game
tray is a cut & bent slot, which would be easy to
crush. There is also a slot for the overlays, which are also
in Portuguese. To check out more Digiplay games, look at the
Digiplay
page! |
