The "Pitfall" game is among the most common of the Digiplay
games. This game was very popular for Intellivision gamers in
South America. It is another game produced from the Activision lot
of games. The box resembles the Activision artwork except for the
blocky style of title text. The game is listed for a PAL system, but
can be played on systems in the U.S. as well.

The "Pitfall" game cart was produced in
the Mattel style shell for this game. This is the normal style for
all Digiplay games. The cart looks nothing like the original
Activision game cart. The label is in green to match the box
& instructions.

The instructions for this game have the
usual Digiplay Brazilian Portuguese text. The instruction
graphics are the same as the box. I have found two different
Digiplay overlays for this game. The first is the rarer version. It
is lighter in color, and much thinner than the other. Neither
of these types of overlays have copyrights on them. The darker
version does have the Activision logo, but is missing the part
number that usually appears under the "Pitfall" title. Another
interesting variant is the arrows! Notice on the lighter
colored overlay that the arrows on the left side are yellow, while
the ones on the right are blue! This is alot different than
the regular versions where all arrows are green.
