| Overlay: Boxing (Original?) Mattel
overlay
Item Number: 7526-4299
Copyrights:
Mattel Inc.1980. Printed in
U.S.A.
Description: This may or may not be the original
Boxing overlay made by Mattel. This is one of the most
interesting overlays ever made by Mattel. The fact that the
item number does not coincide with the game number is very
curious. Also, the last 4 digits "4299" hints that this is the
second of 2 different overlays made for this game....much like
the World Series game. *(left controller would be(-4289) while
the right would be (-4299)! The only major difference in this
overlay other than the item number is that the "Pull
Punch" text is printed higher on the
button. |
Overlay: Boxing (1819-G1 version) Mattel
overlay
Item Number: 1819-4289-G1
Copyrights:
Mattel Inc.1980. Printed in
U.S.A.
Description: This is the main overlay design you will
find for this game. Notice that Mattel changes the item
number to match the game number. Although this seems to
be the original overlay for this game, the item number reveals
that it is not. But, it does seem to be the most widespread
version. |

| Overlay: Boxing (No Copyright version)
Overlay
Item Number: 1819-4289-G1
Copyrights:
None
Description: The "No Copyright" version of the Boxing
game is one of the hardest overlays to obtain. Notice that the
Mattel Inc. text is missing from the top. Inc. style
boxes for the games. But, this is not always the case! You may
be disapointed to find a Mattel version overlay in
there.
In addition, the Digiplay Boxing game will yield this
version of the overlay. |
Overlay: Boxe
AKA: (Boxing) Digimed
Portuguese overlay
Item Number: None
Copyrights:
None
Description: The Digimed Boxe overlay was printed with
Portuguese text. This overlay has eluded me for many years.
But, I know that it exists from pictures of Digimed &
Digiplay games. It is unclear if this version is paper or
plastic. I will post a pic as soon as I obtain
one. |
